As my tribute to world book day I signed the pledge to 'Get Britain Reading' which is to spend at least 10 minutes a day reading. Which im doing - currently reading 'The Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad.

So happy to hear you had a good time at Ozzies (my old school!), brings back lots of memories, and hopefully one day I can go back and visit!!!

Sounds like a lovely but busy day! We were busy climbing Pendle hill but Dan had a bedtime story day at school where children and teachers dressed in PJ's and slippers and read lots of bedtime stories :o)

Chris and I went on the tour too, and it was absolutely fascinating. Chris said he was 'screaming on the inside' down in the catacombs (!) but I loved that bit! I particularly enjoyed the marvelously over the top tombs and graves and Sue's talk was top notch, what doesn't that woman know about Kensal Green?! It made me chuckle to see that Chris has been raised to God-head in Lee's comment though!

Another interesting London victorian cemetary to visit is Nunhead cemetary and the tours are free! As well as being a cemetary it is also a nature reserve. Their website can be found at www.fonc.org.uk. It is well worth a visit!

Your visit to the cemetery sounds so interesting, I want to go and visit the Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol which is in the process of being restored and is also a nature reserve.
What a shame I had a course in Taunton today otherwise I would have popped into Waterstones to say hello. I hope you had a good day in Dorchester.

My friends have a massive horse chestnut in the car park of their house - which used to be the old school! My childhood tree was a large silver birch which I remember sitting under to get some shade in the summer. These days our trees are primarily the hawthorns at the bottom of the garden. I love Lime trees as well - I had a very profound experience mediating with the trees in the Quarry Park in Shrewsbury a few years back - very proud trees x

I have always been a 'tree follower' - I have loved trees all my life and I spend a lot of time rambling around the New Forest where I've lived for 11 yrs. I have my 'special trees' that I visit regularly. (I get called a 'tree hugger' amongst other things but I don't mind) - Trees are the lungs of the earth, they also hold within them universal energy and ancient wisdom, which can be tapped into if your spirit has a mind to. I love the idea of Tree Followers, but I couldn't just do it for a year, I've been following my 'special trees' for years and wouldn't stop now. Blessings. Linda :-)
